The
purpose of this program is to integrate ICT in the study of the close
environment of the learner as it is related to the city of Hadera.
To
provide a systemic expression to environmental and values education
for well defined target populations through its integration in the
curriculum.
To
provide an opportunity for the learner to investigate his close
environment, to understand the elements which have a role in the
processes identified, to encourage intervention in these processes.
The
experimental program is taking place in the present school year
(2000-2001) in seven schools: 3 elementary; 3 junior high schools and
1 high-school. The program focus in an interdisciplinary research
approach while structuring knowledge from urban geography and history,
ecology and environmental quality while using updated ICT.The program
is leaded by 25 teachers and 400 are participating. |
