The Aviv Virtual School offers a learning framework for high-school
classrooms that include pre-prepared courses, sources of information,
interactive activities, and teachers online. It was inaugurated in
1998 and now 10,000 students that belong to tens of schools all over
Israel participate in the Aviv Virtual School activities.
Activities for Netdays Europe 2000:
Surfing – Ecology
During Netdays Europe 2000 the Aviv Virtual School
will carry out two activities in the area of Ecology: Genetic
Engineering and the consequences of RadioActive Irradiation. For each
one of these issues the Aviv School will offer pre-structured lessons,
activities and related discussion forums.
Besides these two specific issues a general discussion
related to matters concerning ecology and the quality of the
environment will be carrried out with the participation of teachers
and students.
