The students will transmit messages, will decodify messages and will document their impressions for the benefit of later visitors. In the science encounter  “From smoke to the satellite”, aimed at grades 8-12th, the students will deal with issues like “how to write the whole Hebrew Encyclopaedia with only two symbols”,  “How the network is connected to a web site”, “Is our world really becoming a global village?”.

The students will transmit analog and digital data and will be connected through video conferencing to other students in Israel and abroad. In both encounters the students will experiment the central phases  in the communication process and will produce a newspaper.
