The Green Town

Migvan Effect focuses in the development of Internet applications and in particular working environments for the educational system.

A central project that is already in course for several years deals with ecology and the quality of the environment and is called: The Green Town. The participants are 15 schools from all over the country. They carry out local and national research projects around diverse ecological themes like: water pollution, air pollution, noise, UV radiation, solid waste and more.

After analysis of the results the students are required to plan a green town/ green neighborhood/ ecological house – and propose creative solutions to the problems to which they became aware in the first phase of the project. This stage includes meetings with the Town Engineers and other experts, and learning from the accumulated experience of different countries around the world. The solutions the students present at a scientific conference that takes place at the end of the school year in Tel Aviv.

The project has an special web site through which the activities are carried out during the school year and the information collected and distributed.
