| The Geography Teachers network
was established by the ICT Center ant the Midreshet Sde Boker with the
purpose to support the Geography teachers in Israel to use the
resources available in the Internet for teaching Geography: maps and
atlases, satellite real time photography, databases and news sites.
The site also includes links to projects where students from different
places in the wold learn together.
The
Geography Teachers network is also a community: the participants
maintain conversations, exchange information and learning materials,
they study together. This virtual encounter resulted in a database of
learning materials which serve all the teachers in the country.
The
community employs the available Internet tools: Web site, email, for a
and electronic discussion groups.
