In the framework of the Partnership 2000
France-Maalot a project is being carried out that will serve as the
Identity Card, personal and collective, for youngsters from Paris and
Maalot who choose to present their personal worlds through
photography.
30 youngster are participating in the
project. Each of them photographed his home town from a persona
perspective. Among the chosen subject matters: the personal
environment, the physical, statues and environmental art, community
meetings.
To each Israeli participant a Parisian one
will be matched. The pair will exchange photographs and each group
will chose one of these as the logo representation of the project. The
photographs are being scanned and uploaded to the project’s site so
as to expose it to a wider public and an invitation to additional
communities to join in. An exhibit of the photographs is planned for
early 2001 at the After Gallery in the Maalot Berer Arts Center.
