Friends and Flags
A collaborative multi-cultural learning project

Flags and Friends is a collaborative,
multi-cultural learning project that combines both technology and traditional
communication to promote cultural awareness, mutual respet and peace among nations. The
target groups for the project include elementary to high school students around the world.
Participants work in mailing circles, comprises of 6 classrooms, where each class
represent a different country. All classes are responsible for sending each country member
in their circel a Friends pack via traditional post. This cultural exchange format of
"many to many"enables each country member in the mailing group to develop an
authentic learning center, rich with material formthe other cultures in the learning
circle.
The site encourages an interactive learning environment as willhost a wide range of
informationa and activites designed by the participants (questionnaires, treasure hunts,
quizzes, games and more). |
