Supporting the new organization of
studies using the network

In the Northern District of the Ministry of
Education there is an ongoing program dealing with the new organization of the studies.
The instructors for this program tutor leading teams in the schools of the District. The
focus this year is on alternative ways of evaluation. To this purpose initiatives in
several levels are planned: directors, teachers and students. Discussion groups dealing
with the focal issue are being established with the participation of academic counselors
from the universities. The discussions are held in face to face meetings and through email
distribution lists.
Among the immediate tasks being carried out in the framework of the project:
1. Development of ICT skills while focusing on the subject of alternatives for
evaluation.
2. Training of the instructors of the program in the use of computer
communications.
3. Training of discipline coordinators in areas like Sciences, Literature, Language
and Expression, History and Foreign Languages on alternative evaluation methods and the
use of ICT.
The target populations are the schools in the Northern district; directors; leading
teachers; instructors that lead change processes. |
