| A CMC Simulation focused in a
dramatic period of Jewish History, from November 1947 until May 1948. The
students make use of hypertext databases with information about the central political and
ideological parties active in Eretz Israel, the Diaspora Jewry, the Palestinians and in
Jewish circles outside the Zionist Movement.
The simulation game is carried out through e-mail conferencing. A news bulletin
released by the game coordinator is the occasion for group discussions and the elaboration
of appropriate reactions.
Each one of the participating classes assume the role of one of the political
groups involved in the process. The class is splited so that students may represent
different personalities or roles (like journalists).
Class discussions are leaded by the teacher which carry them in a plenary or
small groups and have a general vote on the preferred response. |
