A Virtual Community for Civil Participation

The OMETZ Project is a new way of learning about democratic values and being part of a civil society. Students perform research on topics of their choice and learn about enforcemetn, civil rights, civil society and the right to be involved.

The OMETZ site gives students and teachers access to relevant information distributed globally, to online collaborative learning tools, direct access to expertise and support for the development of critical thinking and sharing ideas. Among these tools: databases, group discussions, online chats.

Students document and report their activities through an OMETZ report that they publish in the site.

The target populations for this project are junior high school and high school students.
