Children's Rights in Fairy Tales & Legends

This project is carried with 4th-6th grade students in Hebrew and with 9th grade students in English.

The Fairy Tales discussed in this framework are: Snow White, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood.

The pedagogic objectives are:
1. Experience with Internet services like using email for exchanges with other students; searching the Internet for information.
2. Reading different versions of Fairy Tales and comparing them.
3. Recognizing children's rights in the tales.
4. Rewriting the stories so that children's rights are not violated.

Participants include three 9th grade classes from the the Menahem Begin JHS; One 9th grade class from Ba'Maleh JHS; classses from the U.S.A. - Totino-Grace HS, Fridley, Minnesota; Westmont Hilltop JHS, Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
